Deathwish's beginnings date back to the founding of Bakerboys Distribution. In 2007, then Baker Skateboards pros Jim Greco and Erik Ellington decided to create a sister company from Baker. From then on, both Baker and Deathwish were managed under the North Hollywood-based distribution.

The labels of the distribution are made by skateboarders for skateboarders and radiate authenticity and credibility. The deck brand's graphic department doesn't hold back either, working with provocative and sometimes socially critical themes.
